whoa who says carbon is useless.how long has ur tank been up and running.do u have any pods for that mandarin any type of sponge for that moorish idol.this hobby can get expensive and a great skimmer is 1 of the most important equip for the tank.i think u may need to slow down a touch with that bioload until it can be established.jmo |

this tank been up for 2 years had no problems with it .i use carbon once and it wipe out all my corals . dont get me wrong its good for a couple of days remove the yellow,light green color in the tank .i know for a fact it kills corals if you have in your tank to long i have a lot of pods my mandarin prefer mysis shrimp they go crazy for it. idiols r eating sea weed and pellets . u could come for yourself check it out .y should anyone spend crazy money on a skimmer beacuse the next person said so. this 2 skimmers r doing my tank justice.that jmo |

dude, tank looks sweet. the Idols really something to look at, the big guy seems to have something going on with he's eye, maybe its just the picture. good luck, keep pictures coming. ps. watch for the skimmerless revolutin baby! ![]() |

i wa just curious.ive had my tank up for a little over a month and i have coraline algae starting to bloom already in the back part of the tank and i didnt see any growth on your tank unless u scrape it off.thats why i thought it was a new tank setup.and if its working for ya hey who am i to say im still a newbie.i just post alot .send me a pm on where u are maybe i can come see some day |
