Brain coral will not open

Hi all! Purchased a new brain coral about a month ago and it will not open! Its not dying but i cant find a spot to where it will open up.. Any ideas?? It was huge in the store but hasnt opened since... Everything else is thriving.. Cant seem to figure it out

Hard to say without a brief description of your setup.

its a 150 gallon cube.. 400 watt icecap with radium bulb 2x250 watt odysea junk lights.. 40 gallon sump with chaeto big skimmer nitrates at 5 i just started running some carbon... anything else needed?? ph is at 7.9 calcium is about 400

What kind of brain coral is it? Fleshy or not?

i think fleshy?? was the size of a football in the store not its just not opening

check wen the lights r off some usually open up when there is no lighting

Did you try placing it in a shaded area with low flow?

theres a pick... i tryed 3 different spots in 1 months time.. low flow and low light and same thing... can my fish be bothering it by swimming around it??

when the lights r off it blows up a very small amount but nothing like at the store..

hey i see u have it on the sandbed try moving it up lil by little i will post a pic of mine i just wondering can someone post a pic of one that is open the way it should be
