It is middle price range and i can't justify spending extra $120 for the XP3000.

Without corals you dont have to go crazy on a skimmer. A super Reef Octopus
XS200 should be perfect. As for heaters it depends on your house. Two 300w heaters, one each in the fuge and the tank should be enough. I have the Jagers for a while with no problem.

Agree on the skimmer. As far as heater I like the Aqua titatnium heaters. I own two and are great plus they are digital. Can't go wrong with that IMO

looks like i actually need an external skimmer due to height of sump from bottom of stand won't allow for anything over 7" OH:

Any recommendations?
