Finally, a decent shot of my new favorite wrasse. I've wanted one of these for quite some time. It is not an easy fish to find--especially a healthy one. Thanks to Russ and Jim at Saltwatercritters for finding it and conditioning it for me.

I have a mesh top. It found the smallest possible opening on the one day I didn't seat it quite right.

Just to be clear, the wrasse pictured in this thread is alive and well and not much of a jumper. Heuerfan was referring to another fish I used to own. And yes both are/were reef safe.

R, great picture of a gorgeous wrasse.....and it still doesn't do justice to the actual colors.

Great . They are somewhat more common now. FWIW, mine is still going strong! It does seem to randomly change its internal clock unlike any wrasse I have ever seen . I can go for weeks without seeing it because it oddly decides to come out at night. Then it transitions back to normal time. I have no idea why, or if this is just a quirk of this individual or common with the species.
