Are egg cowries ok in a reef tank?

I seem to have an egg cowrie that appeared last week. He must have come in on a new piece of rock I bought. I want to know if it is safe to keep him in my reef tank.

Are you sure it is an Egg Cowrie and not a Money Cowrie? How big is it? Is it covered by a black mantle?

Here is a photo of the cowrie in my tank. Is he safe to leave in my reef tank?

Not an egg cowrie, you're fine it's a money cowrie. Egg cowries have a dark black mantle with white spotting on it (looks more like the night sky).
