are you guys not listening to my because i'm a newbie?

or because i'm white collar and overweight?

read my lips......the crap in home depot is not arragonite sand!

suck it up and accept that you'll have to limit your search for the least expensive type of aquarium-type sand. ya have to wait for sales locally at one of the bigger chain stores near you.

the workers in HD are either idiots or poorly informed. the guy who sold me the sand there told me it was from a carribean beach. fat lot he knew.

sheesh

Guy from petaqua has not called me back, so I assume that he can't find it either.

I think I'm going to get Nature's Ocean from Petland. The Petland near me sells it for $16 for 20 lbs. Looks fine to me, but it has tiny pink peices in it which was not appealing to me, although that wouldn't stop me from buying. Anyone have an experience with this? Anyone ever used this stuff?

I'm trying to remember what I bought 4 years ago when I started my 15G and I think I got Carribsea live sand. I don't think I'll waste my money on that this time, but it worked great.

This southdown stuff is not worth the headache. It's not that much savings when all is said and done with a reef tank.
