Im thinking of switching to esv I've been using I/0 for awhile now but looking for something consistent that will mix up better and gimme an alk of around 10.2.
Thanks guys I set my cal reactor up and I want a salt that will be consistent my alk stays at 10.2 in my with the reactor I wanna match it up with my water change alk does anyone know what the alk is with the esv salt
Don't want to hijack the thread but I want to go in the same direction and I feel this relates to your original post.
I am wondering how the different components are measured to achieve accuracy between batches.
I assume this works better when mixing larger batches or SW and I normally do 10 or 20 gallon PWC.
Any comments?
No problem chime in bro .the only reason I think esv may be better is cause its steady parameters .I truly belive it don't matter to much on what ur parameters are as long as there steady .so getting a salt that will always mix to the same para is key for me .I really wanna match my tank alk with alk from my waterchange
I ask because I have heard of a reefer in MR using a very accurate digital scale.
Some of the components of ESV are highly concentrated and the variation between doses could swing levels IMO. I am probably just overthinking this.
Wondering if other people are going that way or if they are merely using some kind of inexpensive measuring cup. Want to add up all costs before I make the switch.
Hay charlie I been using it from day one and I never us a scale , all you need is the right amount of water and your good . Its always died on for me with no scale.
