Can Anyone tell me what this is?

I hope its not what I think it is. It looks like a nudibranch hanging out in my frogspawn. Here is the pic. It looks like its sucking the mucus from the coral and its eating the mysis I just fed. You can't see that in the pic but its eating the mysis as well. Can anyone id this thing and what should I do.

Its hard to tell in the pic but it looks more like a crustacean type creature than a nudibranch. Maybe the pic is playing mind tricks on me? I'm talking about the redish thing that looks like a cockroach.

Your nudibranch ID looks good. I'd remove it if it were in my tank. Nudi's have very specific feeding habits (each one being different). Without knowing which variety (there are 1000's) you've got, there's no way to know if it is problematic (most nudi's are problems in a reef).

Its right in the center of the pic. Sorry for the horrible pic, but it has 2 antennas out and its sucking the mucus from the coral. Should I lugol it or pull it out and fresh water dip it?

Stop dipping corals without good reason. If it's eating the mucus than odds are it isn't doing any harm and a freshwater dip is just going to stress the coral.

While you had the coral out did you inspect it for the animal in question?

I did not see the pest. I never had a problem with pest before since I started reefing, and whenever I see a problem, I take care of it right away. I never had to fresh water dip anything. I am very OCD when it comes to reefing and keeping everything in harmony.

I would keep an eye on it and next time you see it either pick up whatever it's on and inspect it at the surface of the water. Unless you see visible damage in the tank or you see it doing damage there's no reason to freak out over it. Monitor it until you know it's detrimental for sure or can ID it.

James you don't have to apologize, it's a common response. In my experience, when people start messing with everything before they have all the info or a really good reason to, you either end up creating a situation where there wasn't one or make a manageable situation far worse. Odds are the animal you see has been in the tank for a long time and hasn't caused any problems so there probably isn't an issue. Just keep an eye on it, you should be fine.
