ya i love them too i played with the idea of having one in the sump. but i know it just cant happen. so i am trying to get one for the zoo i work at.

Vulgaris or Bimacs will live 1-2 years. I don't know anyone who has kept anything larger than that. This is their normal lifespan.

Also, you can't keep them in a sump unless the top is sealed. They are amazing escape artists and you need to seal the entire tank or they will go out for a walk.

ya i know but if u use the industral grade astro turf they wont/cant climb out. but i would keep it sealed also. thats why i didnt get one too much of a pain.
