Any tropical fish in the atlantic ocean?

Hey Everyone, I was wondering if there are any tropical fish that can be caught on the coast of the atlantic ocean during the summer. I live on the beach in topsail island north carolina and the water gets pretty warm during the summer and theres dolphins jumping all day so I thought there could be a chance of catching some tropical fish. I see people catching sharks and other large fish out there but I'm not sure what kind.

I know that some butterflies and Angels get swept all the way up to Long Island and Jersey so I'm sure that there are some around you down there. Best bet is to join a local reef club and there may be someone on there that can point you in the right direction.

Oak Beach was a dud yesterday. Comb jellies clogged the net and weighed it down. Some larger groupers that was about it on tropicals. A good seahorse day though.

Thats where I go and I am going in a couple of weeks. For grass shrimp I go where my boat is in the Long Island Sound, Port Washington. I can easily fill a 5 gallon bucket with them without any water, just shrimp.
I am going for them on tuesday. I was there today.

Walk onto sand ? I guess good time if there's low tide or high tide?

By the way, grass shrimp are very tasty. I used to net them when my kids were young, heat up a pan and just toss the shrimp on the hot pan. Got really crispy, and made a great snack.
