I have been going crazy checking sites vendors and am trying to look for an inexpensive LED unit for my 120 gal. FOWLR.

Does anyone have a similar setup and what LED did they choose? Photos, reviews? Thanks I love the MH shimmering in the water even though I have FOWLR but there are so many units out there hard to decide. Thanks

There are a few pendant choices that should be able to light the whole tank with a single unit, so you get that halide shimmer you like. Orphek and Ecoxotic make single diode pendants that will work perfectly. It doesn't matter which you go with since it's a FOWLR and you don't need crazy lighting for the rock but if price is an issue Orphek does have more options and any of them would work.

I think you are looking at the PAR-38 bulbs. Those wouldn't be enough to light the whole tank. You want to go with the DIF-50 and 120 degree optics if you are doing Orphek or the 100w flood light from Ecoxotic. Either will do the entire tank with a single unit. With these you'll get good color on the live rock and fish with the same shimmer as a halide.

You could probably get away with a single DIF-30 pendant but that's still going to go over your limit by a few bucks. At that price range you aren't going to find any real quality units for your application that will offer that kind of coverage. For reference, the DIF-30 has a slightly higher output than a 150w halide and with the 120 degree optics it will hit every corner of the tank at only 30watts.
