Apex controller Question.

so I just finished installation of my new Apex controller,but in some reason I can't gat connect it with my phone(I am trying to use Apex App from Droid market place) ,So my question is:How you get access to controller whit your smart phone?(I am using droid with Verizon service)and other one is there any way to customize email alerts?Any help will be appreciated Thanks.
