what are your water parameter? Alk? Calc? salinity? perhaps one of those is higher..
the brown thing is not its color ;0) ..

Reduce the light as much as possible and target feed. Scolys are actually not good corals for the aquarium as they all seem to die after 6 months. However the best chance you have of keeping it alive is to target feed it.
