As long as no humidity is allowed in it should be fine for a long time.

Other than your conventional Kalk stirrer,Is there an easier way to mix this?

The stirrer is probably the easiest way to dose it depending on how you set it up but the cheapest way would be to modify pretty much any container that can hold water with a drip line and just fill it as it gets used up. The stirrer hooked to a top off line and a timer would keep it simple though.
