I bought this bta 3 mos ago. And never have I seen it come out of the rocks. At day time it'll stick out some tentacles reaching for the light. At night it just sits there. I tried 3 times turning the rock around so I would see him. This morning his hiding again. I never seen an anemone like this. Any of you guys had this kind of experience?

Try feeding a couple small pieces of scallop or shrimp soaked in a supplement.

It could be taking a while to adjust to the parameters of the tank, anemone do not take to phosphates or nitrates that would be OK for other corals.

My GBTA was elusive for a while then it came around and has been fine.

Do not move the bta...it can move itself if it wants to.

In regards to feeding, I always had good results with whole krill. However I was always told that btas can only digest small pieces of food (my bta had no problem with whole krill)

With all of that said, if your clown and bta host, the clown should be feeding the bta....but your clown may not know to do that yet.

Best of luck
