I found this guy on my filter sock. I think he is some type of isopod, but I cannot find a match online. Any ideas?

Maybe...I just vacummed out my sump completely and just added a new ball of cheato yesterday...I saw something moving in it yesterday and thought is was just an amphipod....it was probably him...i hate to kill anything that hitchhikes in...they did not ask to come to me, but on the other hand I do not want them to cause harm to my fish...

I would err on the side of caution and not only dispose of it, but make sure it is deceased before you toss it.

What if you are incorrect in the ID?
..and do remember fish are NOT the only thing they will bury into and eat from the inside out...they are quite capable of doing it to you as well...let's call that food for thought...
