How can you tell if there is a deflection?
Would my floor handle my tank

How many floors in this building? Is it just 5 floors? If it is, i would be very concerned with the direction of the floor joists. Like previously mentioned, you want the tank across several joists, not parallel with the joists.

7 floors, and the wood floor will be parallel to the tank which means the joist will be perpendicular to the tank. I think that would be ok, but any ideas would be great.

So, it's a metal beam. :grouphug: and its parallel to the joists so hopefully it should handle.:smokin:

But that's only one side of the tank. After the beam on the wall I have about 5 inches so only the right side will be on it.

if they are steel beams your floors will be concrete.i never worked on a building that we built that was iron that didnt have a poured floor
