Why cant i buy 4 legs made of 4x6 and drop 2x 48" long of 2x4 for the length and 2x 22" of 2x4 for the width and screw it all together, paint with water proof stuff and black paint and call it a day.

U don't need 4x4s lol, unless u gonna use it as a stand for ur car, 2x4s is good enough, but what u said is basically it, put everything together, put some finished plywood one it so it looks nice and paint it

I put a bunch of braces on mine and used 2 2x4s for each leg just for peace of mind

The reason I did 2 2x4s instead of 4x4 is cause I needed a notch on 1 side of each leg so the long 2x4 sat in the notch on the 2x4 to give the long pieces more support, instead of just screwing it directly onto the 2x4, it's kinda hard to explain lol, and the braces u can get at any local hardware store, they're regular metal braces, I used them in each corner where the legs met the long would, pretty much on 4 on each leg, 2 on too and 2 on bottom......bro if u get all the supplies I'll help u out, it's sounding more complicated than it really is
