
it would make it easy to dismantle,Thanks guys. I was hopeing this would work. I definatly replace the clear hose. If i can find it, both LFS's were out of it. I can always change later.
Should I get a union on the overflow pipe?
if its a glass holes kit, thats how they recommend the installationNot a huge problem because it is a 'no pressure fitting', but your overflow bulkhead is installed backwards. The flanged side should be on the inside of your tank with the 'nut' on the outside.

Be careful putting the bulkhead that way. When you tighten the nut it has a tendency to twist or shift the rubber gasket. That's one reason it works better with the threads outside the tank. Also make sure valve handle is not going to hit the glass in the position you have it
Also those valves tend to be hard to open and close ime I would go with a true union valve much beter
