okay as you guys know i am selling off my tank...can i keep a RBTA under power compact lighting? 9 watts per gallon? or would i have to split a MH unit with a friend so he can hold my BTA..till i start up a tank for it...

nope...my buddy putting it in his 20 long..he is taking all my stuff...i had saved my RBTA...now he has PC lighting..would that be okay..

I wouldn't. In a tank that size, many things can go wrong and pc lighting no matter how much can be dicey for anenomes.

I don't think it would matter so much on the tank size... I've seen some nice carpets w/ one clown in 10-20 gallon tanks that lasted for years...

Lighting might be another matter--- but I don't know too much about that...

Dont' believe the hype, RBTA under power compacts perfectly fine.

I've had mine when it was 1.5" in my 7 gallon bowfront, and now it is 7" in my 7 gallon bowfront. About 9 watts per gallon.

And believe it or not, nano tanks are easier to maintain. This is from someone who's been keeping a 7 gallon minibow for 3 years.

I don't know- my 1st tank (and current tank) has been a 16g nano...

I don't think I've gone through too much trama in the last year other than some annoying hitchhikers...I did do about a year of research before starting though...

I would say nanos can be easier to maintain as well imho... less water to change, less $$$ spent on lighting, etc.

and unfortunately less space for frags... sigh...

With the amount of post i've seen from coralcrazy i'm sure he will gain the knowledge needed to keep an rbta.

one question did you feed your often while under PC? that might be a factor why it's doing great..

When i feed my GSMC and Neon Goby the RBTA usually gets one or two pieces of mysis, thats it. So yes, i do feed it, but no, not really neccessary.

Just take a break and start a big tank again. Forget about the 6 gallon, get a 29 gallon then you could possibly keep all those anemones listed.

Beside the lights you need to remember you need to feed these things. Light isn't enough as they do need to eat and should be feed well.
