Sandals is for Adults only. You would need to goto Beaches Resorts (Family resort). The Beaches resort in Turks is one of the top 3 resorts in teh caribbean. But it is NOT cheap!!!!

Beaches @ Turks and Caicos is the only Sandals resort in T&C. But yea, he's right, Beaches = for kids, Sandals = adults.

I was at Beaches T&C last month, and the water was a bit rough. Also, to book the snorkeling trip..do so in advance, we tried to book a slot when we arrived but everything was booked..

it's also very expensive if you're not paying some sort of employee discount rate, about $800 a night per room

Awesome, is this within resort itself? Kid friendly and overall safe?....thx....:D

The resort is on the island. Very safe and the kids (10 and 6) had a blast.
They limit the number of locals on the island. So you are not getting hounded all the time.

Here are some pictures.

I did most of my snorkeling by those rocks. (Lots of fish and some corals)

I would use google earth to help you decide. You could see for yourself the density of people for the amenities.
T&C is pricey but they have Grace Bay. Compared to other resorts, say in the DR or Mexico, the water doesn't even compare.

T&C isn't pricey if you just rent a car then you can just drive to the other locations.

You just need a GPS or Google Maps cached on a tablet w/ GPS to save you the trouble but it's right hand drive there.

Came back from T&C a few months ago. prciepoint not bad, Smiths Reef is by far the best snorkling on the island, Rented a car and explored the island and its reefs.
Last year did St. Johns, beautiful coves for snorkling, although alittle pricey, you can stay on St Thomas and catch a ferry to the island. Just keep away from jewlery row or you will spend everything you saved!
Greneda also has some spectacular snorkling and is very affordable.
to do some quick research, try tripadvisor.com this site is full of honest posts and reviews of any island worldwide.
I,ve hit many carribean islands and honestly they all have their perks. Aruba has some nice snorkling but also has a ton of other activities, including some amazing steakhouses!!!!!!

Smith Reef is very good but the water can get pretty rough for small children and anyone who isn't a good swimmer. I'd suggest having some of those flotation devices for snorkeling.

If you have the gear to catch lobstsers, they're in those rocks... It's very hard to do it bare handed, LOL.

I'd say Taylor Bay and Coral Gardens are more suited for everyone. Taylor bay is the beach where you walk out half a mile but still knee deep, swam very far out and there's not much there.

Coral Gardens is decent enough to see lots of fishes and even sea turtles, they section off the area where the coral preservation area is.
