Kenya Trees dying....???

So 2 of my main Kenya Trees are dying, but the the small ones / there off spring that are spreading in my tank seem to be ok, water quality is good, my temp went up to 80F this weekend for like one day but now it back to my normal 78F, what can it be?

wow... you must be doing something right to kill kenya trees... couldn't get rid of them even if i tried! but good luck!

Your tempenture doesn't have to do nothing with your kenya tress last summer my kenya trees were still alive when my tempenture was at 84. But have you checked your calcium because Kenya trees are hardy corals. How long as your tank been up?

in my experience the kenya tree is incredibly finicky but very hardy. Kinda like my girlfriend. She gets pissed at me for every little thing but still sticks with me in the long run.

Give it some time and they should come back. If I'm sure you can find someone giving some away.

Well thanks for the help guys, I dont have an anenome so im good on that, & my tanks has been up or more then a year, & I have then in my tank for the past 6 months. Ill check the calcium level.

Anyway, is something eating it? It's literally impossible to kill a Kenya Tree. I had an urchin eat a large portion of one in my old tank. Other than that, your params would have to be near toxic levels to naturally kill one of these.

I keep my tank at 78-82. Two degrees has absolutely nothing to do with it. I like my tank at 80 because it seems the average level with room temp and added eq heat.

Other corals are doing fine?

I agree almost impossible to kill a Kenya tree. One time they closed up for almost a week and i was sure they were going to die when I put too much carbon and gfo in a reactor. I guess they didn't like the shock of cleaner water. When I took it offline they came back like nothing ever was wrong

my assistant mistakenly put them in ro/di when i took all of the corals out to re-arrange the rocks. they must have been in there more than an hour. they looked pissed off almost like your pics. when i finally put them back but they bounced right back in a day or two.
if you want some, i have lots to spare.

As most of you all said these things are like weeds man but they do close up from time to time when there is a sudden change in water chemistry. Blowing it off with a power head usually works.

Soon they'll over run your tank and you'll be bored. They're other varieties you can try as well.
