hmmm... a seio... ok - one, two? any suggestions of a model? I wouldn't mind going w/ a seio since they are cheaper...

I've read some bad reviews on Seios, but then again you can find bad reviews on almost anything (though Tunze's don't really seem to have any...)

I wonder if I should go w/ the Vortech then? You can adjust it down to 100g/h if you wanted to...

Thanks!

don't you know your not supposed to add everything up.

if I did that I would jump off my balcony.

A couple of years ago, I sat down and made a list of everything that I had bought and how much I paid for it. Then I started to add it up. I got about half way down the list, and promptly ran the paper through the shredder.

I sold my 37 gal cube(modified RR) with the stand, 40-50 pounds of rocks, a PFO 150W DE setup, a 1/2" sea swirl and a 8"+ RBTA for $400 last summer.

Deals are out there, you should wait for them since this is only a small "upgrade".

you can definitely cut the cost of the custom hood. i built mine myself for probably around $150 and I think it is good enough for display in the living room (it passed the wife test). The Oceanic stands themselves are not that high furniture quality to begin with.

get some more bids on the hood

Hey Reefer420

whats up ,i agree with BC .Deanos and fritz ,no need for a tunze if you can crank it up ,Its like buying a ferrari in manhattan ,,lol
Go with the wavemaster and MJ .or 1 seio,,seios are a soft flow

And the cost of a 37 hmm ,im not starting on what a 90 can cost ,and im sure you dont want Cali Reef to tell us how he spent .Im sure just the BK skimmer cost a bit mor ethen a 37 youre setting up ,so you should feel very rich now ,LOL

But the truth is ,there is not limit ,im sure if you wanted to you could of spent double if not triple that amount on your tank

Main thing is ,That you are happy with what you are buying .
Good luck

Look for deals out there !!! save money

cali too bad I wasnt on this forum last summer!

everythings else (skimmer, etc.) I already have..

Zahner - can I see pics of your hood?

Well I've decided not to upgrade until I have the $$$ - I'll just be gathering everything slowly over the next 6 months or so instead of getting it all at once.

i was after cali's cube too, that was a sweet deal.

there are some pictures of my hood during construction and what it looked like before staining, painting, etc in my tank thread. I'll post some pictures of the finished product a little later today.
