What kind of sand is everybody using in there tanks right now? As for those who saw my tanks thread I break down my 55G and going to start over again like new. I was using pink samoa sand on my 55G before. But I want some type of sand to be bright for the tank. If it isn't no much to ask can people post pictures on how there sand looks like thanks

Hey Russ is the fiji pink sand that you have on your website is live sand or dead sand?

It is bagged both ways. You can get it either alive (hence the title 'Arag Alive') or dry. The dry is less expensive and becomes alive just like the Arag Alive is. All the live sand is, is the bacteria that jump starts the ammonia cycle. It's not like the Arag Alive comes with amphipods, copepods, bristle worms, micro stars, etc. It is just bacteria.

I've got it available if you're interested.

Lol, I agree with Russ on not preferring the oolithic sand.

Actually, I'm putting an order together for Russ myself and will be ordering my sand from him.

Not 100% of which one i'm going to get or how much I need.

:)
