What do you have in your similar set up?

Just bought from member here and not sure what id like to do with it yet

Something simple, but interesting would be nice. I have a larger setup and may set this up at work

What about a zoa only tank with a pistol shrimp and a goby?

+1. zoas are hardy and a shrimp won't make a significant bioload for the small tank. perfect combination.

the only problem i have with mine, is dust that forms at the surface of the water. Sexy shrimps are perfect for the tank, i have two.

I might have bought same tank, i like what you did. With it.

I was thinking small species setup, but might be too small
I like the clown, maybe I'll go that route.

I use a hang on filter with cheeto inside, i have two astrea snails and one hermit crab. I also have bunch of tiny snails from reefcleaner (those came from my main tank at home) I have one clown, two sexy shrimps. For coral Monti seems to thrive in the tank, xnias, zooanthis, pavona coral, small pocillipora, and birdnest that are doing fine. I tried to put a small acro frag, and didn't do soo well. Not because my lights but i think because i don't really dose anything in the tank, just small weekly water changes with esv salt. I really dont test it either, just use a refractometer to check salinity daily. My biggest challange has been the salinity and that the surface of the water gets really dirty. Obviously i don't have a skimmer. All in all the tank has been running for a year, without any issue, i started with a damsel, but he jumped, the clown seems to stay put.

i have a 5 gallon that for some time had a lot of rics, zoas, star polyps and zenia with some cool shrimps.
