It is no easy task to feed lunch to a few hundred people at our Swaps, so please read below and help us to make this go smoothly ..:chefico:

When you arrive at the swap and Register - you will receive a 'food coupon' - one per person - Hang onto it - you need it to get your lunch!
(no ticket, no lunch :( )

When we are ready to begin serving lunch you will be directed to our serving room - where you will have to turn in your ticket at the door to be admitted.

You will have a choice of the following:
2 slices of pizza & a soda
OR
1 slice of pizza & a sandwich wedge and a soda

There will be servers handing you your food choice. You will then exit that room and eat in the main swap area.
.:eat:

There will be NO extra food available at the event, so if you have children with you, or a large appetite, please bring snacks along with you to the event.
Currently the Cafe in Pace is undergoing renovations and is not open, so you would need to leave the campus and walk a couple of blocks to find pizza or a local shop that is open on Sunday.

There are a couple of vending machines in the area just outside the restroom.

Do be sure to have a good breakfast before you arrive, lunch will not be served until noon-ish.

Vendors will be served in the same way, and at the same time as everyone else.

We thank you for your cooperation.

lunch sucked i though it was going to like a hot buffet

I think it was less the lunch that sucked and more your reading skills-

What part didn't you read about YOU GET 2 SLICES OF PIZZA AND A SODA OR A SLICE AND A WEDGE OF SANDWICH?

If that meant to you a hot buffet it's a good thing they didn't mention pasta, you would have thought Mortons steak house was going to serve fresh filet mignon.

A lot of nerve complaining about anything when the entire day which came with 2 lectures of great info, lunch and access to great corals and fish at great prices cost a whopping $25 when you go to McDonalds and drop $10 on a crappy hamburger meal.

Why don't you step up and help sometime instead of complaining about something.

With the amount of work that Josh, Kathy, nanoreefer, Marrone, Pratreef the rest of the mods and the crew that helped setup on Saturday, Sunday morning and the tear down after, all while you were sitting at home reading on the forum about everything that would be available and aclimating your corals afterwards you should bite your lip instead of giving negative comments and you should be thankful that they gave a crap enough to get lunch catered. There are enough places to eat within walking distance they could have just charged admission and made us all walk somewhere to eat.

+1 , Jimmy exactly my thoughts. and here I was thinking this swap went off without a complaint!

no one is stopping you from bringing your own lunch or stepping off campus for an hour or so to get whatever your heart desires...
complaining about the selection of food when everything ran pretty smoothly and was as described is :smash: please see my avatar, posts like this are why it is there.

Oh, and three more things I forgot- How did you enjoy your giftbag that was handed to you for free with a $20 gift certificate from Drs. Foster and Smith, IO marine pellets and stabilzer that was also included for your $25?

10 gallon mix bags of fluval salt to try out, ion supplements from fluval and the 40 I think it was frags they gave out after the fragging demo, a second bag of fluval salt for having losing raffle tickets(paid to lose even).......

Maybe you should pm a personal thank you to pbjelly and TaylorJane for stuffing the bags and boxing them up on Saturday night.

Yeah the lunch was horrible.
