I bought a PC bulb about a month ago and a few days after I bought it I noticed it was cracked. I was sent a replacement bulb and tonight I noticed that the plastic where the plug is, is cracked =(. I installed the bulb anyway and it does work but I was told that it could be a fire hazard? When I removed the glass cover on my fixture I had absolutely no salt creep anywhere.
Unfortunately I broke my old PC's because my garbage men asked me to break the bulbs and bag them instead of leaving them sticking out of the recycle can so I cannot reinstall my old PC's temporarily.
Can I use electric tape around the cracked plastic piece or should I ask for another exchange which I am not sure I will get at this point because it is the second replacement bulb.
I know it isn't the supplier sending me broken bulbs, it is my UPS delivery guy who throws my boxes in front of my garage instead of ringing the bell.
Thanks in advance.
