Tunze does not recommend that you put their products on a wavemaker other than their own. I have seen the 6060 and the 6080 on a generic wavemaker. The ones that do put them on a wavemaker have a minimum start/stop time. (you cant start stop every 10 seconds) Check the Tunze forum for settings.

As far as the controllable Tunze go (6000, 6100, 6200), they only work if used on the Tunze controllers. Other controllers will kill them as well as void the warranty.

If you can, get the controllable Tunze. You will not regrett it. Also they retain their value very well in case you ever want/need to sell it.

the ones that doesnt have a controller have a clutch where if it spins in the wrong direction you get a tab that comes out and brakes. but if you put it on a controller the clutch will fail quick
