I have one that I made myself with my Neptune Apex and a few other pieces, does 4 gal water changes at a time unlike the 1 gal water changes of the Genesis. Also just as safe as the Genesis, has the same overflow mechanism and float valves, etc.

Only thing I'm having issues with is keeping the reserve saltwater clean and the fact that it take about 5-7 minutes for all the water to drain out of the buckets because I couldn't find a solenoid valve big enough to allow for fast water flow. (the one I have has a 3/8" opening)

is it a diy or is it a manufactured plug and play system?
i'm thinking about getting the genesis renew pro.

DYI, I wouldn't buy the genesis system cause I'm poor. DYI total cost was less than 200 I believe.

I will post a video of the system when I can but here is the rough idea of how the system works

150 G tank - 2 Five gallon water changes weekly atm.

The tank has a refugium and a 20G reserve water bin

RODI is split and one line goes into sump for auto top off and another goes into the reserve and keeps that full

Water gets pumped out via timer and pump FROM the tank.

ATO Sensor senses the drop IN THE SUMP and adds water from the reserve.

Keep in mind I have to adjust salt level in the reserve every time after a water change. The system is not perfect I have to keep a close eye on it. But hey better than shoveling buckets right?

How come the water in the reserve keep getting dirty? Do you have a pump in there for movement?
