to make a long story short, i had an eibli angel in my 30. one day i noticed it's fins were nipped. so i immediately thought it was my sixline. that eibli died a day later due to the pump in my skimmer box. so i took out my sixline and put it in the sump. now m new half black angel has nipped fins. i do have a new pair of clowns but i've never seen the clowns act aggressive towards the angel. the only two fish i have are a geometric hawk and a pinkbar goby.

could it possibly be the hawk? but it's so tiny.

It possible that the six line could have been the one that was nipping at the first angel and the clowns at the second angel. Also you can have a crab that is picking on some of your fish. I don't think it's a mantis as the six line and Hawk would have been attacked.

the hawk is very small. 1.25"

the false clowns bother no one. they just stay in their rbta. the angel passes by w/ no problems.

crab? i really think it would get the smaller fish which are always @ the bottom first.

this really has me stumped. i guess i'll do some night watching
