I have a Pacific coast 1/4 HP chiller it works excellent, but If I where to buy now I would have gone with a 1/3 HP and probably the JBJ.

Go bigger, it will cool the tank quicker and will most likely be on less which will save u on electric.

i would go with teh JBJ. Ive never seen a complaint about them from anyone. Pacific coasts do have their complainers.

BTW send me a PM i can get either for you at a discounted price

I owned a PCI 1/4hp and now own a jbj 1/4. Even though it's more money i felt it was a better chiller. Much quieter too. I'll take the jbj anytime!

after reading this thread and thinking a little about it, I am now actually planning on upgrading my chiller to a 1/3HP.

so I do have the PCI 1/4 HP chiller, I will sell it to ya if you are interested. it's only a year old and in excellent condition. I only run it during the summer months so techniquely its only been used last summer and for the past 2 weeks.

PM me to Let me know if you are interested.
Thx,
Frank
