It is common this time of year and it saddens me. However, people have the right to get in and out of the hobby when ever they want to.

Good luck to all this summer ane see you in the fall.

PS Please tell the F6 this is not my fault

I like the way you say that sounds like you're growing a hydroponic version of something else.

Hah. Think abt it, we import large "colonies" in which we "cut down to size" people then meet up in the middle of the night at gas stations and on street corners. Sometimes a frag may cost more than drugs of the same weight. Lol. It is pretty funny. BC my gf says she believes I'm a legalized drug dealer BC once people come by and get a taste of what I have they keep coming back and scrounging up money to get one more piece. Lol. It is kinda funny. And it is grown in water so it is a form of hydroponics. Hahah

I think is a matter of being slow and steady. Im not insanely interested in my tank, but I love having it. I used to have a 90 and downgraded to a 40 cube. So much less stuff to do with it, it just kinda coasts.

I think people have a hard time finding a level at which they are comfortable with as far as money (buying new stuff) and time demands. If you go balls to the wall into it, you might have the same decline after a certain amount of time. You need to be happy with watching it grow sometimes and not feeling like you need to constantly spend money to change it up all the time to enjoy it.

Wow, where to begin? I personally thought about quitting several times. Or should i say down sizing. You have to be a little nuts to say in the hobby. The hobby is with out a doubt getting more popular and more expensive. As one person step out there are two to take up residence. Unbenounced to most newbies is the hard work and dedication that goes with a beautiful marine tank. And for those people who spend 10 -15 minutes on maintenance probably have an unattractive tank with very little or a Nano. You ever see your neighbor's beautiful garden and wonder how they get it to look like that? Hard work!By the owner or someone else. I think of my tank as an underwater garden and like a traditional garden it need to be maintained. Here is some advice, don't put in what you can not afford to lose.

Definetly agree. I was getting out of the hobby temperarily due to moving around august but those plans are out. I sold mostly all my favorite corals and i regret it so much. Reason why i sold them was to avoid having things die on me on the transport would've been a good amount of moneys worth of corals and i didnt want that going down the drain. Dont be worried cus u see a good amount of ppl leaving the hobby. They will be back. This is like beer to an alcoholic, he can quit for a while but once he gets a little taste off that Ice cold Corona with a piece of Lime Mmmmmmm. He will be back at it again. Lol. I've been in 3 yrs and still going...
