are the rest of my zoas/palys doom ????

so i been loosing the battle with aptasia i got a frag a few months back and u know the rest any way i have tried so far 2 copper band they sucks no luck i added about 7 pepermint shrimp no luck so now ill give this file fish guy i have about 12 nice colonies of zoas/palys left as i just sold some the other ones i had for this reason question is this little guy going to munch on what i have left ???

So weird that u had no luck with peppermint shrimp I've always had luck with them once in while the pick at zoas but not too bad! If u looked in my over flow box ud laugh your head off it is filled them I'm guessing hundreds and huge!! But my display is clean

There is always a chance that the file fish will munch on your palys and zoas. Almost anything that eats aptasia has a chance on eating other corals. Kgoldy is selling bergia nudis, maybe give them a try. Good luck man

Fishman i would have been try the nudi but I have 2/3 things in my tanks that will eat them I don't feel like spending 15$$ a pop to feed those pepermint shrimp

Mattl Idk y the shrimp didn't work at firste they would go after it but after like 2 weeks they dont do nothing to the aptasia

Maybe try the Mojano Wand

How bad is it? If its not out of hand yet you can go in with your coral glue. Put some on them if you get them while there still out you can watch them melt, but even if there not out if you get them they will die. But if the outbreak is bad then it may be too much.

The shrimp may be getting to much food so there not going after them.

I had a few aptasia and put some kalkwasser paste on them. haven;t seen any in about a year

Berghia nudibranch seems to be the only thing that worked for me. Kalk and all those chemicals just kept spreading it more and more.

some of these medthod i tried already no luck these thing are multiplying all over the place plus my tank is 30" high not so easy to do some these things and newfidog u might be right i feed my fish few times so the shrimp might be just too full to eat these things

i rather pay the $15 for the bergia IMO i rather lose $15 in my pocket then $150 worth of stuff in my tank.

rbtwo4 its not just about 15 buck bro if u research how those nudi work they wont have time in my tank to be affective someone will eat them and for the record i spend more than 150 already trying to get the aptasia out

You should give Ultralife reef aiptasia & majano remover a try. I used it on aiptasia and majano's that I couldn't reach with my majano wand and it worked great. It will take out any pest you don't like as well, other zoas or mushrooms that have overgrown.

hey thanks bro ill putr that on the list i have not tried any chemicals yet but ill put that on the list of things that i can resurt to if animals dont work nudi is next on the list but i would have to get the shrimps and wrasse out of the tank if this is the case
