it got very aggressive...it didn't bother any corals, but it bullied my larger male blue throat into female coloration not letting it come out and started chasing other fish. I removed it into another tank where I fed it whole silverside which it just rip apart so now I knew other fish/shrimps were now on the menu too. Here is a pic when they were together..the blue is actually bigger just further back and already is starting to lose it's coloration..a few months later I took the niger out...

can't speak for when it gets larger but i have a 3" niger in my tank now and it doesn't bother anything i have 2 blood shrimp and about 12 turbo snails and when i say he is the wuss of the tank i mean it. as soon as i walk up to the tank he dips right into a hole he dug out under a piece of live rock.. cool fish tho but i know within the next 2 or 3 months i will have to find him a new home. if i could find a nice small male blue throat i would get rid of the niger in a heartbeat just for the fact of knowing id never have to worry about him eating my snails or shrimp.

It really depends on the individual fish when it comes to Nigers. Some are very mild and sometimes you get one that is just an ass. I used to work with a guy who had a 150 mixed reef with fish and inverts with a large (at least 8"+) niger that was fine with everyone. It was the only trigger but it never caused any damage. I would personally recommend a blue throat before a Niger based solely on the odds though. Both have been known to eat small fish and inverts when they get larger though.
