any one using this skimmer having a little bit of a hard time dialing it in it says it works best in 5 inches of water that is where i have it and im getting a wet skim its working just want a little dryer skim

so far i like it it is dialing it in that is pissing me off i dont have much bio load just wondering if that is why ? if so i can get more fish lmao

i have that skimmer i got it in exactly 8.5 inches of water and the gate valve open about 3/4 of the way and that thing is a beast by far my fav skimmer so far u have to play with it a little to get it work good

I had so much trouble finding a good spot for it. Deep water shallow water you name it I tried. Then someone on another forum suggested putting a valve on the air intake. I put a flex tube instead and restricting the air flow. Now adjusting makes small adjustments and not huge.

so how deep do u have it and where is ur min water level at and is it working for you ? thanks

I have mine in exactly 5.5 inches of water and I never have to touch it..... This skimmer is a beast with the amount of skimate it pulls out.... Once I set the bubble so that they break at the top the neck I never had to touch it again....

I think i had it closed to much i opened it up this morning and have been at work all day so i havent been able to see how its doing ill tell u tonight when i get home thanks
