Hitchhiker: Tiny Pistol Shrimp

I recently purchased a Thorny Oyster. After a few hours I noticed a "pop" or "snap" often. Today I finally cut off some of the extra oysters/rock on the oyster and instantly found this tiny little Pistol Shrimp (I had feared Mantis shrimp, so i'm relieved).
Shrimp is .5" from tail to big claw.

I am amazed at how small it is. I have had them in the past as pets, but this guy makes the same noise at 1/5 the size, maybe even 1/10 the size.

Anyone ever see a pistol this small?
