Are these clams any good for our tanks?

So I have noticed these clams very often throughout the past few years and I've always wondered if they would be beneficial and be safely kept in our tanks. They are tiny clams that seem to be called donax trunculus and they bury themselves in the sand as the tide uncovers them from down below. Here is a picture from the web.

Animals that have evolved to survive in that specific tidal environment don't usually do well in our tanks, besides the obvious temperature issues I'd leave them at the beach. You also don't know what kind of pathogens they carry since they are filter feeding.

I dont think they would be beneficial since the tidal action is how they feed. The likely outcome of this is slowly starving to death as the flow in your tank could not generate the same action they are normally exposed to.
Regular clams would be OK though, or oysters. But oysters will slice you open easily if left in a tank.
