This funky guy showed up recently, it looks like an aiptasia but more urchin like, and it moves. Weird thing...here's a pic. Any ideas?

But I've looked at majano anenomes on WWM, and it didn't match up with that picture either...

Somebody else had an idea of what it may be, it was a four letter word that I can't remember for the life of me. LOL. This critter moves though, although it's pretty happy where it is now.

i had 3 pepermints i bought from fishtown. they all ate it. i think the biggest problem for the people that have aiptasia is that even though the peppermints are in the tank to control them, they feed their corals and the shrimps would rather eat that food. you cannot feed your tank for a while. fish and coral will survive :D if you feel you have to feed the fish add a small bit at a time as the fish eats it/

well majano or aiptasia - take care of it before you see another one. both take over your tank. i'd get some kalk (mix mrs wages lime pickling juice w/water) and turn off your powerheads and gently 'feed' whatever it is (gently or it will close) with a plastic syringe. if you need some mrs wages we can give you some. but get rid of it asap. it isn't fun when they take over your tank. i know. i am 'almost' rid of them.

oh i almost forgot - majanos also move...and that's what it looks like to me. when you have one or two they are kinda cool but they take over and especially like to grown on sps.
