The "Feedback Received" and "Feedback Left for others" are reversed on the feedback page (ends up showing that i received a negative rather than i gave a negative)
my Feedback received is still swaped with my feedback left for others.
:thanks:
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Can the Pms be turn back on when a member give a Feedback ?

also on the feedback page ,you see the very 1st feedback 1st and the most recent one at the bottom of the page (last )
can that be switched around ,to see the most recent 1st and the lastest one last (srry if it sounds confusing )

Just a thought ,hope im not asking for too much

Okay, I hope I don't offend anyone here by saying this, but why the regional forums? I just went through all of them and the most I've seen was 2 threads.
Why break down into smaller groups? MR members obviously aren't biting on to this.
I don't know much about how web sites work, but are we taking room away from things that would be more useful like forums on disease control/coral nutrition/propagation? A forum on things we've discussed in the past such as plans and designs to assist newer members set up tanks? All of this stuff dissapears into the pages. Rather than suggesting to google your questions, the forums should be divided up better so a good topic doesn't disappear into the pages in 1 day. There is a lot of talent on this site and we can do better than "Hey, look at me! I live in Westchester!"
Again, I don't want to offend anyone with this. I'll apologize in advance because I know some will take this the wrong way.
Admins and mods work hard on this site. I know I can't do what you guys do nor am I willing to dedicate the time you guys set aside for this site. To be blunt... the latest improvements (photography being the exception) seemed to be more commercializing, separating, and adding "feel good" titles.

With peoples buddylists, if they are public and you click on show all, it shows the 8 or 10 in the first window only. You can't se the rest.

You are right, and one thing that MR has always been good at is not diluting the forums into 100 areas that get no posts per day. However I don't know if I agree with you that these new forums are the cause of anything. Like you said, there are only a few posts in each area (mostly just "Hey everybody from XXXX"), so I don't think it is taking away from the main focus of the site. Just think of them as local community bulletin boards. If you aren't interested, don't go in there, right?. They will hopefully grow over time but their main function is to connect locals for locale specific information.

As to whether or not we could use more core forums, thats a great idea but everyone should agree that they are needed and will not end up with 5 posts and then no one checks it. We could have a poll with 5 different options for new forums and take the top 2 or 3 if the response is good. Again, this is a community site so if everyone wants to do something, it will definitely happen.

I disagree with you here. Most of the recent site upgrades are overlooked by the members because they add long term functionality to the backend or insides of the site. For example, there were a lot of complaints about the vendors getting out of hand. We wanted to organize it but still make sure that the vendors were able to do their thing. This resulted in the new "nested" menus, which now allow us to have a better display of our subforums. As a result of that, we were able to do the regional reefs menu. Now that it is online and working, we can add submenu/forums to the main menu, so we can do your new forum suggestions as subforums of the Advanced Reefs area.

The classifieds system is just a cool way of listing individual items for sale with a photo. It is the first time we have tried it and we already have several cool improvements scheduled. Some people do come here just to buy or sell things, so this site has always struck a good balance between the scientists and the farmers (a hobbyist is a bit of both).

I think these are all good points and people should feel free to continue to post their thoughts here.

I don't know much about how web sites work, but are we taking ROOM away from things that would be more useful like forums on disease control/coral nutrition/propagation?
It was a question. Not a statement.
I saw some mods considered the regional forums pointless, so I looked in there. Other than that, you are correct, curosity brought me in, but I see no other point going in there. I was simply asking if the regional forum which has generated little interest took ROOM away from things like the forums I had mentioned. It is not my intent to bash. The forums I would like to see might bomb as well.
We all live tristate. That is why you'll see a guy from Ossining show up at a function in Brooklyn. I apoligize if my PC was off and my ignorance for websites got in the way of a question. Again, you guys have done fantastic things with this site. I am not trying to take anything away from that. You asked for comments/suggestions and I told you what I would like to see.
I also have no problem with the classifides, but I asked a simple ? in post #40 on this thread and never got an answer.
The most recent site upgrades was a vendor forum, classifides (commercial), regional forums (separating) and "feel good" titles (make the guy a FULL MOD, not a forum mod), and as for control of the vendors, look through the threads of people looking to buy things. There are more plugs in there than on the Howard Stern Show. So I feel you are wrong on your assessment on my last statement. But we both know there is no way to control that. You guys have done the best you can. Free speach wins from there.
So I will simply go back to what I was trying to get across in my previous post. How many times do we go into the home page to see "help, ICH!". How about "SPS are bleached/dying/hard/etc." Are the regional forums taking ROOM away from more useful forums? How about an SPS forum? An LPS forum? A propagation forum? A fish forum? Someone tried this back around January/February. Informative thread. I can't tell you how many ?'s I've seen about things mentioned in this thread popped up after this particular thread vanished into the pages.
I'm not PC at all. Ask all the guys at Mike's (slamajama) upgrade. But I really did not mean to offend.

As a new member, I was a little confused by the senior member/junior member descriptions. It too me a while to realize that senior member did not mean senior reefer ;-)

I'd like to see something done w/ the page buttons in posts. When you click on the < & > it only moves you one page. When threads are real long and i start half way its a pain to get right to the end. maybe << & >> to jump to page one and last post.

not sure i explained it well lol

and maybe theres a way to make this site safari friendly? on my PC the nudibar links work fine, in safari i get ppls profiles when i click on the thread, and the blog section doesnt display the whole chat it gets cut off

ok, i think this was posted before, but the classifieds section is showing posts on the home page of items that are already closed.

if the closed items are removed and only the currently available items are left up it would be more effective.
