Hi, my uncle gave a new rodi water system that he store for a few years, for some reason there is no water out accept waste? Ocassionally there will be a few drops.

I check the DI part that is working correctly. Is there anything I'm missing.

Is a no frill brand.

It's most likely the membrane if the unit was sitting not used for a while I would change all the filters .
Take them out one by one open water to flush it then u will see where it might be clogged

Sounds more like your water pressure is low. In order to operate properly you need between 70-80 psi. If you don't have a pressure gauge on the RO/DI then that would be your first add-on to get.

First thing to do would be to remove ALL the filters, sanitize the system and lubricate all the orings with food grade silicone grease. You'll want to have two essential tools to run the system: a TDS meter and a pressure gauge. Here are instructions to sanitize the system:

After sanitizing you'll want to get all new filters.

thanks, for the info BFS. I think I'm going to try your cleaning method. As I just try my old bulk reef supply one and is working fine. I was hoping to get 2 working as my new house has 2 hose connector.
