They are both quality.

Esv = more work but yields the best results since you control the process.

RSCP = easy, but can leave a residue, may not mix clear, and has high levels, sometimes to high...dry mixing the salt can prevent that along with mixing with a very strong pump. (Some people don't have issues but I did/do)

I have slowly been switching over to a new salt from Israel (forget name, but from aquatic obsessions)

I have used both. ESV takes longer to mix bc you have to manually measure and combine the components. The water you get is fantastic though. The one issue I had were that the alk/ cal/ mag levels of the water were less than what I found desirable for an sps system so I found myself adding more of these chemicals, which I found a little wasteful. The Red Sea Coral Pro salt was easy, just add and mix, with very high levels. I found it difficult to mix though and feel as though I could never get it cloud-free. I am now using H2Ocean which I like so far, but ESV was my preferred choice over Red Sea.

Red Sea pro ...!! It's a amazing salt ... Dose it with Red Sea reef energy A&B and its like dosing steroids to your tank ... I see crazy growth .. I seen a lot of people over do it with esv trying to be a mad scientist mixing the salt up and kill there corals ..

IMOP Red Sea pro but then again I never used anything ells.
I use Red Sea test kits along with Red Sea pro salt and when you mix up a fresh batch of salt and test it, the test kits are dead balls on what it sais on the side of the bucket.

I recommend you roll the bucket on the floor and use a strong pump when mixing to help with some of the build up people have mentioned.

P.s. I can't be bothered with mixing salt myself what with the kids yelling and the wife calling me always when I'm trying to do something important lol forget about it.

ESV mixes very clear. Never tried Red Sea. Why people think mixing ESV is so hard. Only problem it takes up more room to storage the extra jugs . I switch to Salinity by seachem....another is H2o ..All are good salt pick either ......but best to stay with one brand. Salinity is my pick....

Red Sea Coral Pro clears in less than 5 minutes for me. Measure mine in ounces after you do some conversion, it hits the Specific Gravity right on as the bucket says. All Ca, Mg, St levels are good even at lower SG. At reef SG no dosing required IME as long as i do small frequent water changes. love Red Sea

Did my first batch of ESV salt water was clear almost instantly. Can someone tell me what's component A and B?

Thank you

Read the directions dude. Very important you mix it properly. Sodium chloride=most of the salt in saltwater. magnesium sulfate heptahydrate=the rest of the salt+magnesium. part a=carbonates/bicarbonates(dKH). Part b=calcium/potassium/strontium/trace elements.
