There was a part recall on the shaft that they sent to every new pump owner = it is possible you got an older set of pumps from a distributor and not a new one with the new shaft.

I got the new shaft in the mail priority and haven't installed it yet -

It is still working fine with only one shut off since I got it back in april

how can i have received the older pump when they were backordered. if i did received them (the older) i will be sending them back to marine depot. is there anyway i can tell if there the older version

it is possible that they got one from another distributor if they were sitting in someone elses inventory and shipped them under thier own name.

Sucks, I would call Tim right away and make sure they know what's going on - another user here got one cracked in the box as well from MD - maybe it's just their handling?

yes. i was told they were sending me the washer shaft, whats the driver, the white electronic part with he lights

yEs, that whiTe metal houSing is wHat they call the driver... maKe sure when u get it, turn it doWn, wait, then turn it aLL the way up... if it stops, you stiLL have a bad driver it HATES being tuRn'd up and down unLike the tunZe.
