Kent Reef Salt

Hi anyone using Kent Reef salt ? lots good reviews on web! but.... ??

I used it for a box worth...not good for me. Fresh batches of salt water were testing at 6 for alk.

Have you seen any clusters of any kind I got a box as well no issue for me about alk when tested got 11 just that this is what is in the salt it mixed clear at 1.204 calcium was 470 ph8.0 alk 11

I didn't have clusters, but 2 out of 4 bags were rock solid. Had to chip them up with a hammer. I didn't have good luck with the Kent salt. I went with Reef Crystals. (some ppl have had problems with RC, but they work hood for me).

i've used it and still use it. works well for me and able to keep corals healthy with the trace minerals in it

I will see maybe try it again cause to like the amount of calcium and magnesium hopefully a better batch the next box

Kent suck their carbon had recalls because it had high levels of copper that ruined a lot of peoples tanks
Now you guys play with their salt I would not use it even if it was free Kent can't be trusted to make anything good . Best of luck with your next bucket

Kent reef salt works well for me. But I stopped using their carbon because of the recall, switched to Seachem matrix pellet carbon (much better results).

After Kents carbon episode I wouldn't use a glass scraper with their name on it.

esv salt is the only way to go as a matter of fact all their products are great they put a lot of work in keeping their products ultra pure
