Feedback about glasscages aquariums

With all respect.. I completely disagree with that.. then it could be only "my luck". My tank is completely rimless, silicone is great, starphire in all 3 sides and polished edges.. What else should I ask for? I thinnk that is a quality piece of equipement...

Now, I remembered calling them perhaps 5 years ago and the customer service was awful which made me get a 57G Oceanic illuminata. However, I decided to give them another shot and I couldnt be happier.

I say get quotes from different vendors and then make a decision. I believe I paid around 500 bucks for it while other vendors were asking aroun 900 for the same siza tank (no starphire) ...

I have worked with a lot of GC's tanks, seen their work first hand, and have an opinion that could certainly differ from you or anyone else. The fact remains I would never trust them with any job of mine personally. The tank you received IMO is exactly as you said, luck. I've seen too many to believe they turn out a consistently good product. With all the negative reviews we've all read, I'm not sure how that can be disputed. Yes, you received a good one....after you've had a bad experience with them a few years ago. Even you personally experienced their inconsistency.

I would say why take a chance,especially on a tank that size a small tank might not be a big deal but all the money it takes to get a tank like that running I wouldnt want a company that has 5 times more bad reviews than good ones,situations like this you get what you pay for.I build custom fishing rods and had a person say thats way too much so he goes else where gets a rod built then comes back to me asking if I can fix the bad build,I laughed and said I will build you one the right way so he spent almost twice the money in the long run.Find a builder who has a good rep see some of the work and get it done right,you will be better off in the long run.
