Im thinking of purchasing some live stock from either live aquaria or saltwater fish.com, has anyone had good or bad experiences from any of these places:Thinking:

What are you looking to buy?
Typically, IMHO, you would do much better with our local vendors. Check under the vendor sales to see what's available. Whether it's fish, coral, inverts, or even equipment, us locals (by way of disclosure, if you didn't know, I sell fish) typically do better price and quality than on-line. Check us out.

Saltwaterfish is O.K. LiveAquaria sucks, they love to send dead fish, and Corals infested with Apastia, but you can't beat their customer service

Good luck, I never liked the idea of mail ordering fish. I always like to watch them for a little bit before I buy them, I want to see if they are eating the proper diet for their species, they are swimming nicely and how they act with the other fish in their tank, also how they look overall is important. With mail order you can't do that.

Before the new local vendors opened up around me I ordered a few times from LiveAquaria and I have been very happy with everything I got. Chief is right on the money that you can't hand pick what you are getting (unless its WYSISYG) and you are at the mercy of the vendor. I only got a few corals from LA but they all have been great. As for the fish I put them in QT for 4 weeks before they go into my display so their 14 day policy is awesome! I have only lost one fish in those 14 days and 1 that wasn't looking so good and they extended the refund for another week.

That being said I am not sure I will be ordering from them any time soon because of the new vendors that have opened up around me. I would much rather spend a FEW extra bucks and pick out what I want then be at the mercy of the online store.

I can get you a Magnificent Foxface. AND, I live on the Jersey side of the Hudson (Orange County, NY). I'm just few minutes north of Ramsey/Mahwah.

LMK if we can hook you up.

Great whats the size cost and time frame? I tried absolute fish they said they had some comming in this week.

I will check my updated stock report tomorrow (Monday). They have them in stock 75% of the time, so I should be able to get one this week if you'd like. I'll let you know pricing as soon as I see the inventory. Most of the time they come in medium in size (~ 4").

Thanks

Russ
