Interceptor?

i wont be at the swap unfortunately. it seems like the chews aren't that much different, i found a website that sells them how strong of a pill would i need to dose a 75 gallon tank? they classify it by weight of the dog.

anyone? i am going to try to remove the one acro i see them on and dip it in coral RX and see if thats the only coral affected. but i still want to purchase these interceptor pills just incase.

If you are taking the coral out then I would dip it in Bayer insecticide. There is a lot of opinions on dosage so do a search.

No need to find interceptor if you going to remove the corals from the display. Interceptor is a in-tank treatment if your going to remove the coral just dip it in a reef dip

thats what i did duke, i only saw one on the coral i dipped the coral in coral rx for 15 mins and i saw 2 came off. looked all over the coral with a flash light didn't see any more. all flesh is good and healthy. i glued it back in its old spot, i am just going to wait and see what happens.

i dont think coral rx takes care of red bugs, id go with the bayer insecticide. and besides that only gets them off that coral temporarily id try to get interceptor from someone or wait til it comes back out

I had the same exact experience as you did. End result is I still have redbugs in my system. The only way to beat them with dips is to completely remove all acros and encrusted areas in live rock then quarantine from main tank. I do t have many and it is not disturbing my growth or color, but they are there. I am also on the hunt for interceptor also

Coral rx can take care if the redbugs. The problem is to completely get them, the acro would have to be in the solution for long or be in a concentrated dip which can stress the coral. The Bayer is mostly stress free for the coral
