Ro/di gpd real or estimate

Hey i just got a 75gpd rodi from brs. Added the 150gpd water saver upgrade. But im def not getting 150gpd. I havnt calculated yet but the trickle im getting is similar to the one i used to get from me 75gpd last year.

My question is are those 75gpd real life stat or is it an estimate. Some guys tell me they get half that and just live with it. Is that the norm with ro/dis?

Thats what is like to go. I live in queens ny. Someone once told me nyc always has good pressure. Im not in a tall apartment complex. Just a 2 fam home. Dont have a pressure gauge.

pressure and incoming water temp drop production rate big time. i have a 150gpd unit, i wasn't getting half that. i made a heater for incoming water and production really increased.

What if i used a little hot water with cold. Nothing too hot hot. Just not too cold. Wouldnt that make the incomming water less cold and add pressure

hot water from your pipes has high tds, and it will not raise water pressure, it is whats coming into your house.

Pressure gauge is in the mail. But while i wait i was hopingg to gear wether others are getting any where near the amount of output suggested by manufacturer.

Booster pump will give you close to what its rated for.

after you hook the gauge up, it will determine if you need a booster pump.

Don't use hot water with your unit. If the temp gets too high it will kill your membranes.

I didnt think anyone in nyc needed on. Thats why i didnt get one in first place. My mistake.

You dont NEED it but it will allow you to make more water with less filter changes. I dont use a booster pump with my 150 gallon a day unit and wouldnt make close to 150. I get 5 gallons every hour and 45 minutes and dont mind

I live in queens 2 fam my pressure is 28 psi it needs to be over 50 so I'm getting the booster pump my bro in law lives 2 blocks from me and has 40 psi

I do also upgrade on RO/DI , i run 50 ft. 1/4" before filter , water from ground is about 50-55, not sure about your membranes ( the orig.) how old ? and what TDS u got in u area ? I change both, i got 60 PSI (Manhattan) i got good prod. but i may buy a pump for better performer .

Membranes are brand new as i got filter this week. TDS in early 40's. Going to try water line in garage as its on ground floor to see if i benefit some.

In Astoria, and BK my pressure was 40PSI. I got a 8800 booster pump and its 100psi now.

You need the gauge to also see when your filters need changing. Mine start out at 100psi then after a few months I go to 80psi. then just change them out.

I just ordered another 75GPD membrane, so we'll see if i can get 150gpd now with 100psi.

I get 5 gallons every 50 minutes - 1 hour. No booster pump and my RODI is 100gpd.
