help me how do you catch the small fish in a big reef

my yellow clown goby has gone rouge his eating any coral he gets close to even took a bite at my clam how do I catch the little guy I tried to syphon him out hes too smart any ideas

Don't feed him for awhile, oh wait he's eating the corals. I'd say build a fish trap, that's probably your best bet. Good luck.

It would be near impossible to trap those punks, unless he has a favorite food that you feed that can stay in the trap. Taking out most rock would probably be the way.

without ripping the tank apart..the only way is too trap it...a small trap filled with small meaty foods placed near it's favorite coral and patience...I got caught a wrasse just yesterday in record time this way in less than a half hour..

i caught my blue throat trigger in my 150g but took me several days as the trigger is very cautious/scary cat/smart....just have to be persistent and be patience. I had to starve the trigger for 2 days though, so on the 3rd day, he couldn't resist the food in the trap.....bang! But in this case i'm not sure if you can put any food in the trap that the little guy is going for.....maybe his sps/home that he sits on.

Mike - wrasses aren't too bad cuz you can put a piece of shrimp in there, and they go right in........but within an hour or so, that is really quick.......lol!

thanks everyone mission accomplished I caught him in a syphon when I did a water change. I know its mean but I was as gentle as I could be now hes happily in my fowlr tank

I remove the rock... And usually takes me 2 minutes after that. I'm glad you caught it.
