I was just thinking on what fish I want for my tank. I currently have 5 damsel (that I really didn't wanna keep) in the tank. I want to add the following : yellow tang, powder brown tang, diamond goby, pair of B&w clowns, Solar fairy wrasse, and a trio of lyretail anthias. Please lmk what you think and what you be the best why to add them, if it's possible. Tia

before getting rid of all the damsels...what species are they?..some are more aggressive than others...such as Yellow tails and Azures which are a nice reef fish....also I don't believe in so many fish in a tank rule...it just more of a demand on your water quality husbandry and filtration...more work for you...LOL..selecting the right fish is key also.

I have 3 two stripe damsels and 2 yellow tail damsels. They always get along with each other, even when they where in the 20 gal. Now that they have all this room, they still hang out together. I really don't wanna rip the tank apart to get them out. To be honest, I've had them for a year now and I'm pretty attached to them :(

I still have a 4 stripe damsel that I received as a birthday gift about 8 years ago. I can't say that I'm really attached to the fish but I am really close to the friends who gave home to me. So, IME, it's ok to keep them if you want. Just re-think your fish list to more compatible tank mates.

I would keep the yellow tails and get rid of the Humbugs or just keep one..they are still small and not a problem yet...when they get larger and pair off they will be super aggressive especailly the larger female defending their nesting areas and adding any new fish..a 6' long tank you maybe ok for awhile...I had a breeding pair of them.
