Sorry if this is an old topic, but it made me come back from the LFS with nothing bc i was in doubt. I have heard Salinity is a great product, so went to the store looking for it. The manager of the store told me Red Sea's Coral Pro is much better, and that lots of his customers have switched and approve it.

But then ive seen at many forums hobbyists noticing red algae spike with Red Sea's?

Anyone can help me with some experience on them? Thanks!

I can't speak for Salinity, but I've enjoyed Coral Pro since I switched to it when I started having trouble finding D-D. Mixes clean, levels spot on, no phosphate or other algae issues, solid growth and color.

Both great products , don't think u will go wrong with either , I personally use Red Sea only because h20 disappeared off the face of the earth and now it's back but I'm gone.

I use Red Sea , only cause its easy to get from my suppliers.

+1
I use salinity even through I have to let LFS to order it. I agree both are good. I never tried Red Sea. I heard good things about it. The good thing it seems like you can find it at many stores. Where salinity I don't know any store that has it in stock. But it's only two day wait. You get more gallons for your buck on salinity in 220 gallon vs Red Sea.

I've used Red Sea Pro and it was ok, the only complain was a residue on my mixing bucket but I solved that by mixing the salt in cold water then adjusting the temperature an hour later or so. I'm In the process of switching to Aquavitro, will order it this week. I've heard many good things about it so I'm gonna give it a shot.

Bro, it is like you read my mind. I have been using Red Sea Coral Pro Salt for a while but yet I find myself regularly dosing Cal/Mag/Alk to keep things stable. I was thinking of trying out Aquavitro as well. As soon as this batch of Red Sea Coral Pro is done, I will try out Aquavitro. Keep me posted on your experience.

FYI, on their site they list retailers nearest you by zip code. Unfortunately it will most likely have to be ordered but maybe it is worth the wait.

Red Sea mixes to a high alk 12.2 if I remember correctly. This messes up my dosing. I try to find a salt which mixes close to the same parameters which you want your tank at so when do you a water change it doesn't throw things out of whack. I think both are great salts and you just need to decide which works better for your situation.

If you dose I'd go with salinity but if not then rscp all the way.

I agree. If you have a stable tank that runs at a lower alk, the coral pro messes up your levels.
I also noticed that the numbers on a fresh mix drop out the longer I let the water sit.
I have since switched to esv.

Been using Salinity for a few years. I was using ESV. Even though you had to mix 4 parts I still like the salt. I notice price went up. Salinity salt you might get a white build up on pump when mixing. But if you mix slowly and in cold water you will see less. One thing for sure ESV mixes very clean with no build up. I now seeing people with excellent SPS tank with IO. Makes me wonder should I switch and save money.

won't use either red sea throws my dosing completely out of whack. instant ocean all the way cheap and does the job in the age of manufacturing doubt most of these companies make the salt prob just a bulk supplier and private label like how brs works.

Red Sea coral pro ...is the best I try a lot of salts but this is the best and if you do need to dose they are on point with the Supplements. Just use this salt with reef energy A&B you will never want to switch again

I've been using red sea coral pro for a little over 8 months now and couldn't be happier. Since I switched I've gotten amazing growth from my hammers, frogspawns, and various palys and zoas. Very happy.
